Since there is no way for me to contact the seller and ask them a question and not a single review is saying if this payer can play songs by folder as you copy files onto the player’s memory, I am asking this question here, in the review. Please, someone respond to me, I really wanna buy this player, but I will not if it can’t play songs by folder (Sansa can not).

This is my first MP3 player so maybe I don’t know what others know, but I am astonished to find out that the battery can not be replaced when it no longer holds a charge. Sure I can re-charge the battery now, but I know from past experience that rechargables can only be charged so many times before they no longer hold a charge and must be replaced. In this case, Creative Labs has built in PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE by making sure there is no way to get into the unit to replace the battery and making sure there are NO replacement batteries available. So this $90.00 player can last 6 months or less (??) before I have to throw it into the trash and buy a new one.
Why do we put up with such blatant scamming? I strongly suggest folks buy ONLY players with changable batteries. That is unless folks out there like to support these shyster companies AND have money to throw away.

This is my second creative player. I should have known better. I can’t figure it out even with the instructions and hours of trying to make it work. I do not like it and I do not use it. I put off things and did not return it. to much hassle. I also bought the creative zen. Sold it for about half the price. The speaker is loud enough but very tinny sounding. Pass on this one and save your cash for something worth while.

I love this mp3 player, it’s small and easy to get to the songs. The speaker isn’t all that loud unless you put the player up to your ear but I still love it.

I bought this for my wife who loves audio books. She had a two GB Zen Mozaic and was always running out of space. This unit operates the same as the 2GB version with eight times the memory. She did not have to learn how to operate anew type of device. It is perfect for task. Michael, Florida
